homes. The alliance includes over 25 servicers that account for more than
80% of the serviced loans, key industry associations, government sponsored
enterprises, insurers, and counseling agencies that have significant capacity to
serve borrowers through telephonic and face to face counseling. Other key
supporters include the Department of Housing and Urban Development and
Department of Treasury.
“We want to do what we can to help our residents stay in their homes,” said
Glenn Morris, Palm Bay’s Housing and Neighborhood Services Division
Administrator. “What’s happening with the mortgage crisis can devastate a
family. Hopefully this type of intervention can make a
difference.”
